Estuaries week offers opportunity for thousands to make a difference

"Melanie Grillone, an organizer and environmental specialist with Tampa Bay Watch, is looking forward to their DIY Coastal Cleanup event during this year's Estuaries Week. According to Melanie, even small deeds can have large trickle-down effects. Tiny microplastics and debris left on the side of the road can make its way into ground water or through rain drainage systems, moving into our estuaries and contributing to devastating ocean pollution."

Getting Up Close at the Kennedy Center

"We are often accustomed to seeing the bigger picture when we visit the Kennedy Center. When attending a dance performance by the American Ballet Theatre or a live concert by the National Symphony Orchestra, we expect to witness a scarcely attainable level of perfection. The REACH provides the opportunity to observe the performing arts in a raw form, achieving a greater understanding of the artist, their journey, and their passion for their craft."

A Feminism-Fueled Performance

"When it comes down to performing about feminism, it is tough to get it right... This past Sunday at Dance Place, 'Snake Telegram' managed to toe this fine line between authenticity and spitefulness with grace and comedy."
